A Scottish Ceilidh

Last weekend I got invited to attend a Scottish Ceilidh at the local church. My roommate and some other girls in my program went with me. It ended up being an international club activity, so there were people from Scotland, America, Italy, China, Japan, and some other countries too. Our good old friend Sandy was there to help us learn how to dance. It wasn't too hard, but I am the most uncoordinated person on the face of the planet, so some of the dances I just couldn't get the hang of. It was pretty hilarious actually. It also didn't help that we had too many girls, so on some of the line dances you spin with every guy in the line. After spinning for 16 measures with one person, it was kind of hard to remember which line of girls was actually the guys. Luckily the locals were really nice to us and didn't judge our dancing skills too much. Apparently the man playing the accordion was pretty well known in Scotland! Overall, it was a lot of fun!

 Gettin ready to dance...haha

This is our friend Sandy. I wrote about him earlier.
