Galway was one of my favorite cities in Ireland. I had so much fun walking around the downtown area, looking at all the shops and restaurants. It was totally touristy, but hey I am a tourist! We had some awesome pizza here, it was literally the biggest pizza I think I have ever eaten. Luckily I had some people to share it with! We also had some tasty gelato. I think this is where I finally started feeling more connected to Ireland. Every shop had coaster and coats of arms with the name CURRAN. I NEVER see my name anywhere and I have yet to meet someone outside my family with my last name. I know it sounds stupid because I fully recognize that I am a totally Americanized person. I'm not like some people (aka Neil) who say they are Irish (and actually believe it) and then use that as an excuse to wear Guiness shirts and eat haggis every day cause it's "in the blood." I am an American. However, a part of me just felt at home seeing my surname all over the place. I also love Galway because I finally found the perfect souvenir sweatshirt here! I really don't know why I didn't take more pictures. I love this town!

We stayed the night in Galway at a hostel that was really more like a hotel. It had about 5 floors of rooms with bunkbeds. They had a great cafeteria for breakfast, a mini-store (which came in handy when Carolyn's towel fell into the toilet-yuck!), and a TV room. As far as hostels go we were living in luxury. The next day we loaded back onto the bus to go see the Cliffs of Moher, also known as "the cliffs of INSANITY!!!" in Princess Bride. It was amazing to say the least. It was a perfect day outside to go to the cliffs. Bright blue skies and sunny! Look how blue the water was!

See that castle there? My dad went camping there on his mission! I'm so jealous!

Also, when I made this blog one of the picture options was the Cliffs of Moher. I set this as the background and got so excited to see them in real life! Now I have been there and taken better pictures of my own! Ah. Sometimes I think that the trip was just a dream and I didn't actually go see all these cool places. I just feel so lucky that it worked out to go on this trip. It was worth every single penny.
